• The Flow
This tune gave me so much difficulties…the right hand fingers pattern is crazy. That’s why I call it that way, it’s really about right hand flow.
• You’re my light
This song is for my loving daughter, it’s a piece I first wrote right on paper and then “type” it in Guitar Pro…it was a quite difficult piece to play too…I mean to feel correctly
• NO blues
The first track with the Eleuke electric uke, here it’s my concert size one, I strung on low G…there is a pretty big FX line on that track.
• Alien Groove
I always thing that ukulele is a really funky instrument, it can groove as hell…here I use a “thumb” technic, close to bass slap, in conjunction with hammer-on and pull off and percussive tricks.
• SPANJazz
I played this tune for the first time during the super show we made with my mate Josh of U.K.E with Brazilian musician. this track has nothing to do with Brazil actually but …it supposed to be a jazz tune with Spanish flavor.
• Unusual Possibilities
People used to call me an experimental ukulele player, here’s start the REALLY experimental section of the album. For this piece I use a slide and a stick as the same time with triggered filter, and a bunch of electronic toys.
• Improvisation (for CP)
An impro for my close friend and Avant Garde music legend Charlemagne Palestine…it’s crazy how a little instrument like the ukulele can produce so much overtone…it’s a piece that sound a little bit like the minimalist of the 70 ‘s.
• Shredding idiot goes solo
Damn, the Shredding Idiot is back !!! with his crazy tapping techniques extravaganza…and electronics gizmos too…
• The SPY
Love this track…really ukulelecentric stuff (I know that Jake could play it 100X better than me).
• It’s talking to me
Ukulele can talk…like ALIENS.
• If I forgot your face
For the loving memory of my Mother (write on paper too).
• Few notes for Japan
I first record that for a YouTube video right after the Japan tsunami…Japanese music is great, and Japanese people awesome human being…that’s for them.
• QER 40
A remembering to our trip on Canadian highway during U.K.E micro tour there. That’s an incredible souvenir.
• Simple as that
And this is the main title of the album, a very simple song, back to the fundamental of the ukulele. This one was play with the first uke I bought in 2006 in Honolulu a tiny Kala soprano…:)

I played my beautiful KoAloha acoustic ukes, the Super Concert and a Soprano.
And the awesome Eleuke, a concert Lo G, and my multi-colored-psychedeliak tenor !

All the track are, actually, very rough, some live, one take kind…I played just like that, not very much editing, no overdubs at all…definitively not perfect (perfection bored me).
But I hope you will like it.
